There were these funny and talented maori boys named Konrad, Kohuru and Toko. The boys lived in a valley called Tautoro, where they were really good at hunting and riding dirt bikes.
One day they went for a hunt behind Konrad’s house up Maunga Tautoro. Konrad was on the red rooster (a two wheeler) and Kohuru was towing Toko on the back of the quad.
They travelled up hills, through rivers and along old logging roads. “This looks like a good place to hunt aye bro’s” said Konrad
“Yeah it is aye bro’s” replied Toko”
“see bro, just too good” answered Konrad.
So, off they went through the trees and BANG! There it was...a big boar. It’s big tusks were hanging from its mouth, digging around in the tree hollows for bugs. It looked a good size, 100 pounds easy!
Snap, Kohuru looked down and he’d stood on a branch. The pig turned toward the noise, and you could have heard a pin drop. The pig charged toward Kohuru and Toko. They sprinted around the trees, zig zagging in and out. The pig was fast. It nearly ripped Toko’s leg off as it’s tusk snagged onto his jeans. Luckily Konrad, had hid behind the tree and spear tackled the pig to the ground. He stuck the pig, digging his knife deep into his heart.
“Took you long enough, it could have chased us to the Gold Coast” puffed Kohuru. “Nah, just jokes thanks man”.
“Yeah thanks brada, woulda ripped me up haartii if you hadn’t have got it” said Toko.
The boys took turns dragging the 100 pound boar back to the quad.
Later that day once they got back to Konrad’s house they skinned the pig. “I’m proud of you boys” said Uncle Matt.
